One Year of Sidequest

Here at The Groovy Moo, we’ve spent all week excited and celebrating one year of Sidequest! As this week comes to an end, we wanted to do a recap on all of the great adventures this album has brought along. Follow along as we walk through one year of Sidequest together!
Starting off strong, we have to point out the week of Sidequests. The activities started on July 25th, 2025. On the 25th, Sidequest officially dropped, alongside the enough music video, and we had the iconic thrift shop. This thrift shop took place in Los Angeles, California. At this thrift shop experience, fans could purchase Sidequest related merchandise. If a person spent $50 or more, they received a free clothing item from Michael’s own wardrobe– he truly set up his own thrift store. Michael himself also stayed present for this experience, helping fans shop around.
The next fun addition to Sidequest Week was Michael going to Warped Tour and doing a record signing. This gave fans another opportunity to meet him, and it helped add to an amazing album rollout. He did a similar event on July 28th, 2025, where he did an album signing at the Barnes and Noble at the Grove.
On the 29th of July, he collaborated with Ike’s Sandwiches and made a Sidequest themed sandwich available for the public. Once again, Michael was present at this event, interacting with fans. It was a really sweet day. It also helped nourish everyone for an epic Sidequest Week ending.
To wrap up Sidequest Week, Michael Clifford spent two nights at The Fonda, performing the album in full, plus a cover of Avril Lavigne's Complicated. On the first night, it was announced that all VIP purchasers would be getting personal meet and greets with Michael, alongside a photo. This was huge. On night two, Awsten Knight of the band Waterparks joined Michael onstage for the collaborative song they’d made for Sidequest– give me a break. As Sidequest week ended, many fans took to social media, sharing their favorite experiences.
A few weeks later, Michael announced that Sidequest at The Fonda had been recorded, and the concert experience would be livestreamed on Veeps for fans to enjoy. This was really exciting for many fans, as many people weren’t able to attend the shows live. The week after that announcement, we got some new, fan made lyric videos. We got these videos for remember when, fashion, thirsty, nosebleed, if i had a choice, and eclipse. Along with these lyric videos, we got some new merch. It was a great part two to Sidequest Week!
A few months from that, we received two songs recorded live at Vevo Studios! These songs were kill me for always and eclipse.
Fast forward to March, Michael and his band, 5 Seconds of Summer, embarked on their Everyone’s A Star world tour. On this tour, there is a portion of the show where each band member plays one of their own solo songs. Every night onstage, Michael performs enough, playing it with the Sidequest guitar. This guitar was used for pretty much every live performance of the album, making it a staple to the era.
One year of Sidequest has been so eventful and full of so many memories. We at the Groovy Moo want to thank you all for joining us in celebrating this week. Happy one year to Sidequest!!
