Salt spray drifts inland from Wellington’s harbour, just outside of Pōneke, where Ali Whitton now makes his home. The sharp scent of the coast has become as familiar to him as the damp, golden moorland mornings of his childhood in North Yorkshire, landscapes that have left a lasting mark on his songwriting and imagery. Earlier this year, Whitton spoke with us about his second single, "Hopeful Heart," (article here) from his anticipated debut album, Between the Forest and the Stars, scheduled for release in April. This week, Whitton returns with his third single, co-written with acclaimed New Zealand artist Reb Fountain.
